Relines And Repairs
Reline
Relines can improve the fit and retention of your existing denture. Due to tissue and bone resorption dentures should be refitted every 2 years to prevent future issues. A reline requires 2 appointments: 1st Appointment involves a detailed impression of your ridge inside your existing denture to capture the current state and accurate shape of your tissues. The impression material is then replaced with injection acrylic bonded together with the existing denture. At the 2nd appointment, the relined dentures will be inserted and should conform to the contours of tissue thus increasing the suction. The entire reline process can be completed and inserted in 1 day.
Repair
Dentures are designed and crafted with strong polymethyl methacrylate (acrylic), but we understand accidents occur. Depending on the severity we will assess and evaluate the appropriate steps to take. At Modern Denture Care, we offer a same day repair if brought in before noon. Do not attempt to glue the denture as it makes it difficult to for us to repair.
